About Midlands Aging & Disability Resource Connection
A trusted, independent resource for aging and disability services in South Carolina’s Central Midlands.
Our Mission
We serve as a highly visible and trusted community resource — a place where people go for information, assistance, and resources on the full range of aging and disability support options. Our goal is to help seniors and individuals with disabilities live with dignity, independence, and choice in the setting they prefer.
What Is an Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)?
An Aging and Disability Resource Center is a collaborative effort designed to streamline access to long-term supports and services. ADRCs serve as single points of entry into the service system, offering objective information, personal counseling, and assistance to older adults, people with disabilities, and their families.
ADRCs are funded through a combination of federal (Older Americans Act), state, and local resources. They do not sell products or services. Their sole mission is to connect people with the programs and supports that best fit their needs.
